Emma’s preschool teacher mentioned she sometimes seemed “a little quiet” compared to her friends. She could follow directions and loved story time, but she wasn’t speaking in sentences yet and seemed off balance with activities in the classroom. Emma’s mom wasn’t sure if this was just a phase or something to watch more closely. 

That’s where a therapist screening can help. In just 15–20 minutes, we can check key speech-language and/or motor skills, compare them to typical milestones, and help you decide whether your child would benefit from further evaluation. Screenings are quick, effective and designed to give parents peace of mind — whether that’s a reassuring “everything looks on track” or the clarity to take the next step. Word Play Speech Therapy is a private-pay practice. We do not accept insurance or bill insurance companies directly. Payment is due at the time of service.

For your convenience, payments are securely processed through Ivy Pay, a HIPAA-compliant payment platform that allows you to pay directly from your phone. We accept all major credit cards, including HSA and FSA cards.

Although we do not accept insurance, some families may be eligible for reimbursement through their insurance provider’s out-of-network benefits. We encourage families to contact their insurance company directly to determine whether reimbursement is available and what documentation may be required.

Upon request, we can provide a superbill for families who wish to independently seek reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed, and families are responsible for the full cost of services regardless of their insurance coverage.
