There are people who come into your child’s life and quietly change everything.
Ali is one of those people.
When my son Aiden began speech therapy, I already knew he experienced language differently. As an autistic child, I could see that he wasn’t learning speech in the “typical” way. I understood it in my gut as his mom — but I didn’t have the language for it yet. I didn’t fully understand why.
Ali did.
It was Ali who introduced me to the concept of gestalt language processing. She didn’t just say the words — she explained them. She shared her knowledge generously and patiently. She connected the dots in a way that made everything suddenly make sense.
From that moment on, I wasn’t guessing anymore. I wasn’t wondering if I was “doing it wrong.” I understood my son more clearly. And when you understand your child better, you support them better. That shift changed everything for us.
Ali practices therapy in a way that is deeply neuroaffirming. She sees Aiden as whole, capable, and intelligent — exactly as he is. She firmly believes in child-led therapy, honoring his interests, his pace, and his voice. She doesn’t try to change who he is; she helps him communicate in a way that respects who he already is.
That matters more than words can express.
Jess
